I am an Assistant Professor (tenure track) at Muskingum University in Ohio and a Fellow at the Global Labor Organisation (GLO). I also serve as an editorial board member at the SN Business and Economics journal. In addition, I mentor underprivileged students on the Bahujan Economists platform.
My research lies at the intersection of environmental economics and sustainable development. As an applied microeconomist, I investigate the causal effects of climatic shocks and policies on economic outcomes, including labor markets, health, and human capital. My work has been published in leading economics journals such as Land Economics, Environment and Development Economics, and Review of Development Economics.
I completed my Ph.D. and MS in Economics at the School of Economics, Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to that, I earned a bachelor's degree from Mumbai University and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, India.
Before transitioning to academia, I spent over seven years in industry, where I held diverse roles in sales, marketing, process improvement, operational excellence, and business strategy.
